Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability when a user stores an image in a portable recording medium and uses it. SOLUTION: An image processor comprises an additional information superimposition module 8 which adds additional information to an original image, a general format module 9 which generates a first format image by encoding the image with the added additional information into a first format, a dedicated format module 10 which generates a second format image by encoding the original image into a second format, and a CPU 1 which receives a performance indication for a predetermined storage mode for storing both the first format image and second format image in the portable media 12 at a display/operation unit 4 and stores the first format image and second format image in the recording medium 12 when receiving the performance indication for the predetermined storage mode.
