PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of driving a panel for information display having satisfactory durability as the panel for information display and capable of maintaining satisfactory display quality even in repetitive usage. SOLUTION: In the method of driving the panel for information display displaying information such as an image by encapsulating at least one kind of display medium comprising at least one kind of particles and having optical reflectance and charge properties in an air space between two substrates at least one of which is transparent and transferring the display medium by an electric field applied in the substrates, display driving is performed by setting a holding charge amount of the display medium to be Q0 (Q0 is the optimal charge amount for driving the display medium and determined by constitution of the panel for information display) according to previously obtained charge rising characteristics of the display medium.
