Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coupling member of a steel pipe in which no shear break generated in the case of a bolt hole opening occurs. SOLUTION: The coupling member, connecting two steel pipes coaxially, is constituted by double tubes in which the inner tube is located inside the outer tube and provided with screw holes radially in the outer tube and keeps windows opened at locations corresponding to the screw holes in the inner hole. The opening cross section of this window is formed so that it may be enlarged toward the center of the tube, and an edge of outer tube side of the window is formed in acute angle.
