Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method of amino acid analog uptake with cells. SOLUTION: The uptake of some kinds of amino acid analog into polypeptide produced by cells usually giving no polypeptide containing amino acid analog is attained by exposing cells to a growth medium containing the amino acid analog. The rate of the uptake is controlled by adjusting amino acid analog concentration in the medium and/or adjusting the osmotic pressure of the medium. The uptake enables change and study of chemical and physical features of the polypeptide. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
