Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcasting receiver capable of efficiently transmitting carrier waves, without causing interference on the reception digital broadcasting reception. SOLUTION: A portable communications apparatus, capable of receiving "one-segment" TV broadcasting, includes a FM transmitter 22 for applying frequency modulation to a sound signal of "one-segment" TV broadcasting, and transmitting the resulting signal and a frequency selection part 62 for selecting the transmission frequency of the FM transmitter 22 that will not interfere with the frequency range assigned to the channel that can receive the "one-segment" TV broadcasting, based on channel information 71 as the information of the channel, capable of receiving the "one-segment" TV broadcasting and a higher harmonic interference information table 72.
