Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron source which can give a stable electron beam even if a device provided with the electron source gets an external vibration. SOLUTION: The electron source is composed of a pair of conductive terminals provided on an insulator and a filament bridged between the conductive terminals and a tip with an electron discharging part connected on the filament, and an end part other than the tip with the electron discharging part is fixed with the insulator. Preferably, the end part other than the tip with the electron discharging part is fixed with a metal pin brazed on the insulator in-between, and more preferably, the filament can have a curved part.
