Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To forcibly disengage respective clutches by a signal from an ECU or others in starting of an engine in a twin clutch device used for a transmission for an engine of a vehicle. SOLUTION: In the twin clutch device, first and second hydraulic disc clutches 51a and 51b are coaxially arranged adjacent to each other, and the disc clutches 51a and 51b each have an engagement side hydraulic chamber and a disengagement side hydraulic chamber. The twin clutch device has first and second solenoid valves 91a and 91b for controlling hydraulic pressure supply to the engagement side hydraulic chamber of the disc clutches 51a and 51b, and a hydraulic pressure cut device 94 for setting the disc clutches 51a and 51b to a disengaged state.
