PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inhibiting the attachment of scale containing calcium carbonate in a digester of a pulp digestion process. SOLUTION: This method for inhibiting the attachment of the scale in the digester of the pulp digestion process includes adding (1) one or more kinds selected from among water soluble copolymer and its water soluble salts including (a) one or more kinds of 2-acrylamide-2-methylpropane sulfonic acid and its water soluble salts, and (b) one or more kinds selected from an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid and its water soluble salts as a constituting unit at a molar ratio of (a) to (b) of (5:95) to (35:65), and (2) one or more kinds of phosphonic acid and its water soluble salts at a weight ratio of (3:7) to (7:3) into process water of the pulp digestion process.
