PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid polymer fuel cell, thin, light in weight, and excellent in assembly performance, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The solid polymer fuel cell is equipped with a membrane electrode assembly with a structure in which a solid polymer electrolyte membrane is interposed by a fuel electrode and an oxidizer electrode, a jointing frame for fuel electrode jointed to the fuel electrode, and a fuel electrode bag which is jointed integrally to the jointing frame for fuel electrode and installed so as to cover the fuel electrode through a fuel holding part. The fuel holding part is communicated to a fuel passage for carrying out supply and exhaust of the fuel. The fuel electrode bag is jointed integrally to the jointing frame for the fuel electrode.
