Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide excellent images by using a reliable cleaning unit which prevents the cleaning blade from degrading by small and spherical toner, and does not make defective cleaning without degrading the wear-proof property of the photoreceptor and with less photoreceptor degradation such as filming. SOLUTION: The image forming method makes static charging, image exposing, developing, image transferring, and cleaning to the photoreceptor. Its cleaning unit has an elastic blade which has a repeated waving or triangular waving shape at a right angle against the contact edge when cut at its tip end touching the photoreceptor.
