Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid over-revolution of an intermediate rotary element in a control device for a vehicular automatic transmission including a change gear mechanism including at least two planetary mechanisms and the intermediate rotary element connecting those structure elements. SOLUTION: The control device for the vehicular automatic transmission executes gear change process securing an arbitrary gear position by controlling a hydraulic control device, detects rotation speed NM of the intermediate rotary element (S10), and executes a process performing fuel cut of an engine when the detection value gets to a predetermined threshold X or higher.
