Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which is small-sized and inexpensive and is superior in portability by having a circuit configuration simplified without increasing the number of wires of a connection cord even in the case that output signal control is necessary due to function upgrading or the like. SOLUTION: An output signal control device includes a main body device 1 having a signal reproducing part 11 and a power source part 12 and an external device 2 to which a reproduced signal and power are supplied, and selects an output signal by controlling power supply from the main body device 1 to the external device 2. The output signal control device is so configured that power is supplied to a signal processing part 21 of the external device 2 during detection of a high voltage level to perform prescribed signal processing by operation of the processing part 21 and output a processing result and power supply to the signal processing part 21 is stopped during detection of a low voltage level to output a signal from the main body device as it is, in accordance with a voltage level detected by a voltage detection part 23 of the external device 2 on the basis of switching of a switching means 14 in the main body device 1.
