Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handrail for a prefabricated scaffold, which can be safely set on the periphery of an upper-stage scaffold board or can be removed from the same by the operator standing on a lower-stage scaffold board, and facilitates attachment/detachment only of the handrail on a lower-stage scaffold even after addition of an upper-stage scaffold. SOLUTION: The handrail is formed of a horizontal member 2 and a pair of diagonals which are rotatably pivoted on both ends of the horizontal member 2. The horizontal member 2 has attached to each end an almost annular mounting piece 5 which can be fitted onto a connection joint fitted to an upper edge of a stud of an H-shaped building frame, from above. The mounting piece 5 consists of a main locking portion 6 and a sub-locking portion 7 which are each formed like an almost half ring, and a distal end of the main locking portion 6 having a proximal end thereof fixed to the horizontal member 2, and one end of the sub-locking member 7 are pivoted on each other by a shaft body 10 such that the sub-locking member 7 is openable/closable. Further when the sub-locking member 7 is closed, a locking pin 12 is protruded/withdrawn by a spring 14 in a manner piercing a through hole 11 formed in a free end of the sub-locking portion, which leads to easy fixture of the sub-locking portion 7 and cancellation of the fixture, to thereby facilitate attachment/detachment of the handrail.
