Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the effect of wheel conicity on the straight running property of a vehicle. SOLUTION: This method of mounting wheels comprises a step of measuring the conicity of each of five wheels and a step of so mounting the five wheels on a vehicle that two wheels with the minimum absolute value of the difference between the measured values of conicity among five wheels are used as front wheels, two wheels with the minimum absolute value of the difference between the measured values of conicity among the remaining three wheels are used as rear wheels, and the remaining one wheel is used as a spare one. The five wheels are so mounted on the vehicle that the wheel with the smaller absolute value of the measured values of conicity is used as a front wheel on the operator's seat side and the wheel with the larger absolute value of the measured values of conicity is used as a front wheel on the passenger's seat side among the two front wheels, and that the wheel with the smaller absolute value of the measured values of conicity is used as a rear wheel on the operator's seat side and the wheel with the larger absolute value of the measured values of conicity is used as a rear wheel on the passenger's seat side among the two rear wheels.
