Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make smooth setting of initial conditions for the roll opening of swinging-sorting-board-type husking separators on the restarting. SOLUTION: A mill opening controller has a manual driving/stopping means (SW2) which allows manual driving or stopping of the main motor (M1) for driving of the husking separator, a roll opening initial setting means (40, SE1, M2) setting the initial opening of the rice husking roll (7, 7), a husk sensor (SE5) detecting husks in the husk hopper (6) of the rice husking section (1), and a husk running-out automatic stopping means (40) which stops the drive of the main motor (M1) in response to a detection of running out of husks with the husk sensor (SE5). When the main motor (M1) is stopped through a stopping operation of the manual driving/stopping means (SW2), the husking separator is stopped with the roll opening of the rice husking roll (7, 7) kept as it is. When the main motor (M1) is stopped through actuation of the husk running-off automatic stopping means (40, SE1, SE5), the husking separator is stopped after the roll opening of the husking roll (7, 7) is adjusted to a specified width.
