Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noise reducing cover for reducing noise generated from a current collector installed on a roof of a railway vehicle. SOLUTION: A planar member 5 is arranged with a top surface forming a plane parallel to a roof surface in the longitudinal section of a vehicle body in the front and back of a current collector, and formed so that the thickness of the end of an opposite side to the current collector is gradually reduced, the planar member 5 is overhung toward the widthwise direction of the vehicle body and continues in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body. Side members 6 are provided to form a convex curved surface at a lower position so that its lower surface approaches the top surface of the planar member at the end of the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body, and comes close to the roof surface of the vehicle body in the center of the longitudinal direction thereof. A leg member 7 is provided that is situated under the planar member 5 and the side members 6 to allow them to be supported by a vehicle body roof 1, and includes an elliptical-shaped wall surface in which a shape when projected on a horizontal surface encapsulates an insulator 8 of the current collector 2 internally. The lower surface of the planar member 5 corresponding to the outer side of the leg member 7 is formed as a curved surface connected smoothly to the lower surface of the leg member 7 and the side members 6.
