Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a turbine rotor, preventing deformation of a ring-like groove for inserting a seal member of a rotor shaft caused by electron beam welding of a turbine blade part and the rotor shaft, and avoiding occurrence of a problem such as seizing of the seal member caused by leakage of gas from the seal part along with the deformation or insufficiency in fitting of the seal member to provide a high-quality turbine rotor with high processing accuracy. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for a turbine rotor joins the turbine blade part and the rotor shaft having a groove formed in an outer periphery close to the turbine blade part or a plurality of grooves formed in the outer periphery along an axial direction, while rotating the turbine blade part and the rotor shaft by the electron beam welding. After primary processing of the rotor shaft excluding the processing of the groove(s), the rotor shaft is joined with the turbine blade part by the electron beam welding so as to manufacture the turbine rotor, and then final processing including processing and forming of the groove(s) in the turbine rotor is performed.
