PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular air conditioner and its control method capable of effectively performing air-conditioning in a driving room even when a window or a door of the driving room is opened. SOLUTION: The air conditioner (1) has a first blowing out port (6) for blowing out air-conditioned air temperature-regulated in an air-conditioning part (20) from a front surface of a driver toward the driver; second blowing out ports (5, 8) for blowing out the air-conditioned air; opening/closing sensors (57, 58) for detecting that the driving room is opened/closed; and an air amount ratio adjustment part (65) for setting an air amount ratio such that a ratio of the air-conditioned air fed out from the first blowing out port (6) occupied in the air-conditioned air fed from the respective blowing out ports when it is detected that the driving room is opened by the opening/closing sensors (57, 58) becomes higher than the ratio of the air-conditioned air fed from the first blowing out port (6) when the driving room is closed.
