Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for sucking/holding a sheet-shaped member for sucking/holding an extremely thin longitudinal sheet-shaped member without generating any wrinkle. SOLUTION: A valid suction region is configured of a central part in a direction vertical to the additional direction of a tension, and a plurality of suction areas arranged with equal intervals from the both sides of the central part toward the outside of a valid suction area relating to the direction. In the case of suction, the suction area of the sheet-shaped member is enlarged by making the suction areas arranged from the suction area of the central part toward the outside of the valid suction area successively operate from an internal side adjacent to the central part toward the outward side.
