Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airtight heat insulation structure of a beam, which facilitates mounting work on the beam, and ensures positive airtightness even at a seam of heat insulation materials. SOLUTION: The airtight heat insulation structure of the beam has a long heat insulation material 10 and an urging member 11. The long heat insulation material 10 has collar portions 10a which are squeezed into a space having a cross section defined by upper and lower flanges 1a, 1b, and a web 1c of the beam 1, and cover flange headers 1d, 1e of the beam 1, formed on both upper and lower edges of the same; and a fitting portion 10b fitted into the space between the upper and lower flanges of the beam. The urging member 11 penetrates the heat insulation material 10 in a direction at right angles to the web 1c, and has its front end engage with a hole 1f formed in the web 1c, to thereby urge the heat insulation material 10 toward the web 1c. Thus by facing the heat insulation material 10 to the beam 1 to cover the flange headers 1d, 1e with the collar portions 10a, fitting the fitting portion 10b into the space between the upper and lower flanges 1a, 1b, and penetrating the energizing member 11 to engage with the hole 1f formed in the web 1c, the collar portions 10a are press-contacted to the flange headers 1d, 1e, to thereby hold the airtightness of the beam.
