Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode assembly minimizing resistance difference between electrodes in a tab-lead joining part, and to provide an electrochemical cell using this. SOLUTION: In a positive electrode/separator membrane/negative electrode stack type or a stack/folding type electrode assembly, a tab (an electrode tab), having no active material applied thereto, is projected from each electrode plate constituting the electrode assembly, these electrode tabs are electrically connected to one electrode lead, and a plurality of electrode tabs are joined to the upper surface and the lower surface of the electrode lead in the joining part so as to minimize the resistance difference between electrodes in the electrode lead-electrode tab joining part.
