PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode/a separator membrane/a negative electrode stack type or a stack/folding type electrode assembly. SOLUTION: In the electrode assembly, a tab (an electrode tab) coated with no active material is projected from each electrode plate constituting the electrode assembly, these electrode tabs are joined with one electrode lead to form an electrode lead-an electrode tab joining part, and the electrode lead is branched at its end part so as to join to the structure covering the upper surface and the lower surface of an electrode tab stack together.
