Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for sufficiently rinsing an article to be coated in an electrodeposition coating process, and to provide an apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: When immersing the article (5), which is to be coated, in an electrodeposition liquid (3) inside an electrodeposition tank (1) and then rinsing it in the electrodeposition coating process, this rinsing method comprises the steps of: taking the electrodeposition liquid (3) out from the electrodeposition tank (1); supplying a part of the liquid to a first ultrafilter (9a); and supplying the rest to a second ultrafilter (9b). The pore size of the membrane in the second ultrafilter is smaller than that in the first ultrafilter. The first ultrafilter (9a) separates the electrodeposition liquid into a first UF concentrate containing a coating material component with an increased concentration and a first UF filtrate containing the coating material component with a decreased concentration. The second ultrafilter (9b) separates the electrodeposition liquid into a second UF concentrate containing the coating material component with a higher concentration than that in the first UF concentrate, and a second UF filtrate containing the coating material component with a lower concentration than that in the first UF filtrate. The first UF concentrate and the second UF concentrate are returned to the electrodeposition tank (3). The article (5) which has been taken out from the electrodeposition tank (3) is sequentially rinsed with the use of the first UF filtrate and the second UF filtrate. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
