Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device of a vehicle for making driving of the vehicle easy by facilitating a steering wheel operation by a driver. SOLUTION: A reaction force torque calculating part 51 calculates reaction force torque Tzf and Tzr by adding or subtracting a friction torque Th part to/from reaction force torque Tz showing a basic change characteristic. A yaw rate calculating part 52 therefore calculates yaw rate γ generated in the vehicle. A yaw rate gain calculating part 53 calculates yaw rate gain Yr as an index showing turning easiness of the vehicle by differentiating the calculated yaw rate γ by a steering angle θ. A friction torque calculating part 54 calculates the friction torque Th corresponding to a hysteresis width determining a hysteresis characteristic of reaction force according to the calculated yaw rate gain Yr. By the calculations, the reaction force can be properly imparted, even in an easily turning state of the vehicle.
