PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular engagement device capable of suppressing the dispersion of engagement force caused by an error even if it is caused in assembling a lid member or an engagement device body to a vehicle. SOLUTION: The vehicular engagement device 1 capable of being engaged with an engagement fitting 2a formed so as to project from the lid member 2 to retain the lid member 2 pivoted by a hinge H and capable of being opened and closed in a closed state is provided with the engagement device body 4 fixed to a position corresponding to the engagement fitting 2a of the lid member 2 at a vehicle side; a slide member 5 having a guide passage 5a formed in the engagement device body 4 and guiding the engagement fitting 2a and made slidable in the extension direction of the guide passage 5a in the engagement device body 4; and a claw 6 formed on the slide member 5 and capable of being engaged with the engagement fitting 2a guided by the guide passage 5a.
