Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly write write data in a disk even though power failure is generated in the case of further transferring the write data to a cache memory in which valid write data exists. SOLUTION: This disk controller 10 for controlling the writing of data from a host computer 17 into the disk 15 is provided with a nonvolatile cache memory 12 for storing the data from the host computer to be written in the disk, a nonvolatile storage area 11 for storing the data from the host computer and a data transferring means 31. The data transferring means acquires the data from the host computer, writes the acquired data in the storage area, transfers the data written in the storage area to the cache memory, acquires the next data from the host computer and writes the acquired data in the storage area. When data transfer is interrupted because of power failure, the data written in the storage area is transferred again to the cache memory when the power is recovered. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
