Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recognition camera, capable of outputting a satisfactory recognition result to improve the recognition performance. SOLUTION: The image recognition camera comprises a camera signal processing part 102 for converting an original image to an image of a visible type; an image recognition processing part 104 for recognizing a subject from the image processed in the camera signal processing part; an image type determination part 103 for calculating statistic information showing a feature of image during the camera signal processing in the camera signal processing part 102 and determining the feature of the image; and a switching part 105 for switching whether to make the image recognition processing part 104 execute the recognition processing or not according to the feature of the image determined by the image type determination part 103.
