Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection apparatus capable of performing inspection on the internal structural members of large-scale apparatuses by visual observation from the outside, even when narrow parts of the large-scale apparatuses have complex shapes. SOLUTION: A video probe 14 is inserted into a screw device 15 formed in a tubular shape and advances through a narrow part of an large-scale apparatus, being engaged with the surfaces of an internal structural member of the large-scale apparatus, when inserted in the narrow part of the large-scale apparatus and is added with a turning force. The video probe 14 has a camera 13 at a tip part and advances through the narrow part of the large-scale apparatus with the aid of the screw device 15. The video probe 14 protrudes from a tip part of the screw device 15, guides the screw device 15 in the advancing direction, and photographs images of the surfaces of the internal structural member of the large-scale apparatus by means of the camera 13. An operation display device 17 operates the orientation of the tip part of the video probe 14 and displays the images from the video probe 14. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
