Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structural member for immobilizing carbon dioxide, which makes carbon dioxide in the atmosphere effectively and efficiently immobilized by enhancing a carbon dioxide absorbing capacity so as to secure a large amount of absorption. SOLUTION: A steel material 20 is provided integrally with a carbon dioxide immobilizing concrete molding 26 for immobilizing carbon dioxide G in the atmosphere E. A ventilation passage 22, which communicates with the atmosphere, is arranged in the molding 26, and a shielding layer 28A for inhibiting ventilation is provided on the wall surface of the ventilation passage 22 in the state of facing the steel material 20. Thus, carbon dioxide G can be effectively immobilized. Additionally, since the absorption of carbon dioxide G does not have to be stopped at an early stage by fearing that the steel material 20 may rust due the carbonation of the molding 26, a large amount of carbon dioxide G can be efficiently immobilized.
