Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosensitive recording medium which has a sufficient water resistance and solvents resistance even in the case where a protective layer (PCT/JP2005/022736) is applied thereon, being excellent in printing travelling performance (head debris resistance, sticking resistance) and sensitivity, and keeps thermosensitive recording surface hard to change its color (into yellow) during storage. SOLUTION: The thermosensitive recording medium has on its support body, the thermosensitive recording layer including a colorless or light-colored electron donor leuco dye and an electron accepting developer, and the protective layer. The thermosensitive recording layer contains 1,1-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)-3,3,5-trimethylcyclohexane as the electron accepting developer, and the protective layer includes carboxy modified polyvinyl alcohol, polyamide epichlorohydrin resin and polyamine/amide resin.
