Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for more easily manufacturing a nanowire and more easily controlling size and shape of the nanowire to be formed as compared with a conventional method by a technique entirely different from that of the conventional method for manufacturing the nanowire. SOLUTION: This nanowire including a metal element may be formed by dividing powder including the metal element by irradiating a suspension of the powder with femtosecond laser.
