Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To preclude an electrolyte membrane 11 from being deformed or damaged by molding pressure of a gasket 4, and to prevent a deviation with respect to a gas diffusion layer 2 caused by expansion/shrinkage of the electrolyte membrane 11, in a fuel battery cell seal provided integrally with the gasket 4 in a membrane electrode assembly 1. SOLUTION: A reinforcement plate 3 is arranged on at least one side of a peripheral part 11a of the electrolyte 11 projected from a space between the gas diffusion layers 2, 2 toward the periphery thereof, the prescribed number of through-holes 3a, 11b overlapped each other is opened in the reinforcement plate 3 and the peripheral part 11a of the electrolyte 11, the gasket 4 comprising a rubber-like elastic material is integrally formed in a state of storing everlappingly the peripheral part 11a of the electrolyte 11 and the reinforcement plate 3 and joined to the peripheral part of the gaskets 2, 2, and one part of the rubber-like elastic material of the gasket 4 is filled into the through-holes 3a, 11b.
