Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the evaluation of the soundness of bridges while maintaining constant reliability. SOLUTION: A bridge soundness evaluation system 10 includes a sensor 11 and an information processing apparatus 12. The sensor 11 is arranged on a substructure 21 of a bridge 20 subject to soundness evaluation to detect degrees of vibration of the substructure 21 in two perpendicular directions. The information processing apparatus 12 comprises an index value calculation part 13 for acquiring information representing the degrees of vibration detected by the sensor 11, and calculating as an index value the ratio of the degree of vibration in one of the two directions to the degree of vibration in the other of the two directions according to the information, and an evaluation part 14 for evaluating the soundness of the bridge 20 from the calculated index value according to predetermined evaluation standards.
