PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pigment that is superior in dispersibility in a pigment-based ink used for producing a color filter using an ink jet system, to provide the color filter having proper light transmittance and quality and reliability, by optimizing the dispersed state of a color material (pigment) in the color filter manufactured for making the pigment-based ink cured; and to further to provide an information display panel, obtained by using the color filter and superior in color display performance. SOLUTION: At least a color material and a binder resin are incorporated into the color filter, and the color material is a particulate pigment, and the particulate pigment is coated with a resin and then contained in the color filter.
