PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress and prevent authentication using an unauthorized means, by detecting fraudulent substitution of authentication devices or obfuscating authentication data. SOLUTION: An authentication device, when started, receives divided data from the other authentication devices and combines them with its own divided data to restore first authentication data, and a predetermined time later, receives divided data again from the other authentication devices and combines them with its own divided data to restore second authentication data, and matches the second authentication data against the first authentication data to determine whether the other authentication devices are authorized devices. If the other authentication devices are the authorized devices, one of the plurality of authentication devices redivides the second authentication data into a plurality of divided data and redistributes them, and periodically repeats the process of restoring authentication data from the divided data and matching the restored authentication data against the first authentication data to determine whether the other authentication devices are the authorized devices.
