Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent water from remaining in a secondary side flow path of a water stop valve. SOLUTION: In the water stop valve, a drain path 13 is provided passing from a flow path on the side of a flow-out port 6 beyond a water stop valve body 4 of the water stop valve 1 to the outside of the water stop valve body 2 for functionally draining water from the flow path on the side of the flow-out port 6 beyond the water stop valve body 4 via the drain path 13 to the pipe outside in a valve closing condition. The drain path 13 is drawn out of the lower part of the flow path on the side of the flow-out port 6 and guided to a drain port 11 provided in the lower part of the water stop valve body 2, and an openable/closeable drain valve 10 is provided in the drain port 11. The drain valve 10 is energized in the direction of opening the drain port 11 by a spring 16, and it closes the drain port 11 with water pressure in the flow path in the valve opened condition of the flow path and opens the drain port 11 with the energizing force of the spring 16 in the valve closed condition of the flow path. The drain path 13 is lower than the secondary side flow path to prevent water from remaining in the secondary side flow path of the water stop valve 1. The operation of the drain valve 10 is linked with the opening/closing operation of the water stop valve 1, and so the operation can be conveniently made unnecessary. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
