PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote-control unit for a door latch for a vehicle, which can be downsized by reducing the number of components. SOLUTION: This remote-control unit comprises: an operating lever 13 which is pivotally supported on a base plate 8 so as to follow a door opening operation of an operating handle provided in a proper place on a door; a release lever 14 which is pivotally supported on a base plate 8 so as to be linked to a door latch means capable of holding the door in a closed position; an engagement/disengagement means 19 which can be moved between an unlocking position to enable the transmission of the release actuation of the operating lever 13 to the release lever 14, and a locking position to disable the transmission; a knob lever 11 which can move the engagement/disengagement means 19 between the locking and unlocking positions; and a locking/unlocking operation means for operating the knob lever 11. The locking/unlocking operation means comprises a locking/unlocking operation knob 9 capable of being manually operated from the inside of the vehicle, and an electrically operable actuator 10.
