Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an air beam structure so that gas cannot be leaked from its bag. SOLUTION: In a continuous arch 200 as the air beam structure, many inner bags 220 are included inside an outer skin 210. The outer skin 210 comprises a semicircular cross-section outer skin member 211, an inner skin member 212, and a plurality of connecting members 213 for connecting them together. A gap between the outer and inner skin members 211 and 212 is partitioned into slender spaces by means of the connecting members 213. In the state of the absence of an external force, a shape of the cylindrical inner bag 220 is turned into a linear cylindrical shape when filled with air so as to exert strength intrinsic in a beam. However, the shape of the inner bag 220 is turned into an arch shape by being regulated by the outer skin 210, when filled with the air. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
