Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of effectively suppressing or preventing occurrence of burrs to be discharged outwardly from an abutted part (a joined interface) of a component to be joined and a member to be joined when joining the component to a predetermined flat joining surface of the member by the plastic flow caused by the friction heat generation, and achieving the effective joining of the component with the member. SOLUTION: When a screw member 2 to be joined is joined to the joining surface of a plate 6 by using the plastic flow caused by the friction heat generation, a clamp cylinder 8 is arranged closely around the screw member 2 to be joined, and the joining operation is performed in a state that the joining surface of the plate 6 is pressed by the clamp cylinder 8.
