Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission type X-ray tube which has a high output and a long life and which is inexpensive. SOLUTION: An anode 12 is constituted of a filament 14, a filament support body 16 to support this, and a rectangular plate shape focusing electrode 18 or the like, and the focusing electrode 18 is arranged in the rear face side of the filament 14 and supported by the filament support body 16. The filament 14 is arranged to be opposed to a target 30 laminated in an X-ray radiation window 28 of the outer case 24. Since an electron irradiated from the filament 14 is focused on a target 30 face by potential distribution formed by the focusing electrode 18, the filament, and the target 30, X-ray generation efficiency is improved.
