Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superior metallized film capacitor which has good adhesive strength between an electrode lead-out end surface part and a thermal spray electrode and also has excellent current resistance and thermal shock resistance. SOLUTION: Disclosed is the metallized film capacitor in a large-sized flat shape such that a section formed in an oval shape by flattening a metallized film where a pair of vapor-deposited metal electrode parts 2 are formed while the pair of vapor-deposited metal electrode parts 2 is wound around a core part 5 opposite each other across a dielectric film 1 satisfies a/b=≥3 mm and a=≥60 mm, where (a) is the long diameter 6 of the section and the (b) is the short diameter 7.
