Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modified diene polymer rubber excellent in resiliency and therefore fuel consumption reduction, to provide a method for producing the same, and to provide a rubber composition using the polymer rubber. SOLUTION: The modified diene polymer rubber is obtained by reacting a compound of formula (I) with an alkali metal-terminated active conjugated diene polymer obtained by reacting a conjugated diene monomer or both a conjugated diene monomer and an aromatic vinyl monomer in the presence of an alkali metal catalyst in a hydrocarbon solvent. In formula (1), R1to R4are each a 1-8C alkyl group; and R5is a 1-8C alkyl group or an optionally substituted phenyl group.
