Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning apparatus in which rain water, underground water, and tap water from lakes, and public facilities are received in a water receiving tank with a water cleaning unit attached, and are changed to active drinking water, and to provide a method and a device for treating a large amount of water by using a natural and inexpensive materials over a short period of time. SOLUTION: The water cleaning unit is constituted of a water cleaning column filled with an active compound material comprising a clay mineral and bamboo charcoal as a filtering material, a filter, a pump, and a sterilizer. Impurities in water are adsorbed and decomposed and removed by repeatedly circulating through the water cleaning column rain water, river water, underground water or the like stored in the water receiving tank with the water cleaning unit attached, and active mineral water is produced by dissolving minute amounts of useful mineral components in the bamboo charcoal into the water. The water as drinking water is provided after passing it through the sterilizer at the end device. The unit provides active mineral water by removing harmful materials in water through circulating raw water in the water cleaning column filled with the active compound materials comprising the clay mineral treated by divalent and trivalent iron salts, and the drinking water by sterilizing.
