Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat storage material which carries a heat storage agent and does not leak and soil the surroundings, even when a container containing the heat storage agent is broken. SOLUTION: The heat storage material comprises a gel-like heat storage agent shaped into particles with a particle size of ≤1 cm. The gel-like or solid heat storage agent is carried by a porous particulate carrier in its pores. The carrier may be hollow. The heat storage material may be composed of the heat storage agent carried in the hollow of the carrier. The manufacturing process of the heat storage material comprises liquifying the heat storage agent which is liquid at a temperature of ≥40°C and gel or solid at a temperature of ≤40°C by heating and letting the liquified heat storage agent carried by the porous particulate carrier by bringing the agent in contact with the carrier.
