Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a reliable and high precision layered material for HDD suspension that is high in density and contains an extremely thin conductor layer without warping or deforming to meet the requirements for the HDD suspension. SOLUTION: The method is for manufacturing a layered material for HDD suspension comprising a stainless steel layer, a polyimide resin layer, and a conductor layer. By the method, an extremely thin copper foil supported and made by connecting an extremely thin copper foil 10 μm thick or thinner to the support metal layer through a peeling layer, processes it in a step to form a multilayered material consisting of a stainless steel layer, a polyimide resin layer, an extremely thin copper foil, a peeling layer, and a support metal layer. Then, it peels off the support metal layer to obtain a layered material which uses an extremely thin copper foil as a conductor layer for HDD suspension. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
