Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine capable of substantially uniformizing the distribution of a collision load acting on the internal combustion engine from the vehicle front in a head-on collision. SOLUTION: This vehicular internal combustion engine 1A is formed by installing a plurality of auxiliary machines 10, 11 and 12 in an engine body 4. Among the vehicle front side end of the plurality of auxiliary machines 10, 11 and 12 and the vehicle front side end of the engine body 4, at least two ends positioned in the different height are passed through the end nearest to a front face 100a of a vehicle 100 among the vehicle front side end of the plurality of auxiliary machines 10, 11 and 12 and the vehicle front side end of the engine body 4. The plurality of auxiliary machines 10, 11 and 12 are respectively installed in the engine body 4 so as to be aligned on a virtual plane P set so as to extend in the lateral direction of the vehicle 100 and extend in the vertical direction of the vehicle 100.
