Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for drying and preheating raw materials for blast furnace and a control method for drying and preheating the raw materials for blast furnace. SOLUTION: In hoppers 1, 2 for storing the raw materials used for blast furnace; a gas feeding hole 11 for supplying the heating gas into the hopper at the side wall of the hopper; a sieve set 4 for screening the raw material exhausted from the hopper at the lower part of the hopper; and further, a feeder 3 for exhausting the raw material in the hopper to the lower part; a gas feeding device 8 for supplying the heating gas into the hopper from the gas feeding hole; a gas exhausting device 15 for removing dust by sucking the gas in the hopper; an introducing fan 9 for raising the pressure of the heating gas in the gas feeding device; a flowing adjusting valve 14 for adjusting the supplying quantity of the heating gas raising the pressure with the introducing fan into the gas feeding hole ; a cover 20 on the charging hole for raw material positioned at the upper part of the hopper; a pressure gauge 21 for measuring the pressure in the hopper at the position of the gas feeding hole; and a control unit 22 for adjusting the opening degree of the flowing adjusting valve according to the increased value of the pressure gauge, are provided.
