Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diversity receiver whose reception antenna is installed in an environment beyond a visual line such as indoor, which has improved reception performance when an error rate after diversity synthesis is deteriorated. SOLUTION: The diversity receiver comprising a plurality of branches (1a, 1b) each with a plurality of antenna elements includes: phase shift sections (2a, 2b) for changing the directivity of the antenna elements of each branch; a noise calculation section (7) for calculating a noise power value of a received signal after the diversity synthesis; and a phase shift control section (3) for controlling a phase shift amount to be changed in the phase shift sections (2a, 2b) on the basis of the noise power value.
