Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for stably producing resin particles having a uniform particle diameter in a high yield. SOLUTION: The process for producing a resin particle (C) comprises mixing an aqueous dispersion (W) of a resin particle (A) composed of a resin (a) with an oily fluid (O) composed of one or more kinds selected from a resin (b), an organic solvent solution of (b), a precursor (b0) of (b), and an organic solvent solution of (b0) to disperse (O) in (W), allowing (b0) to react in the case of using the precursor (b0) or its solution to form a resin particle (B) composed of (b) in (W) in the case of (b0) or its solution being used, thereby to obtain an aqueous dispersion (X1) of a resin particle (C) having a structure in which (A) adheres to the surface of (B), further removing an aqueous solvent from (X1) and, if necessary, classifying the resin particle (C), and when a resin particle (C) of another lot is produced, a fine powder removed in the classification step is dispersed in the aqueous dispersion (W).
