Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease malodor emission from a main body in the garbage disposer. SOLUTION: The garbage disposer comprises first heating means 9 for heating garbage in a garbage storage part 4, first temperature detection means 7 for detecting the temperature in the garbage storage part 4, discharge means capable of discharging steam containing odor emitted from the heated garbage out of the garbage storage part and deodorizing the steam, second temperature detection means 14 for detecting temperature of the discharge means, and control means 11 and the control means controls the first heating means 9 in accordance with the information of the first temperature detection means 7 to carry out heating treatment of the garbage in the garbage storage part 4 and at the same time controls the first heating means 9 also in accordance with the information of the second temperature detection means 14 to variably change the amount of the steam generated containing odor emitted in the garbage storage part 4. Accordingly, the amount of the steam containing odor emitted from the garbage can be suppressed in a range of the deodorization treatment capability of the discharge means and the provided garbage disposer is capable of decreasing malodor emission from the main body.
